Statt nur die Altessener Thrash-Legende Kreator zu ihrem anstehenden Live-Rundumschlag „London Apocalypticon – Live At Roundhouse“ auszuquetschen, haben wir für den Titel eine besondere Konstellation initiiert: Erstmals trafen Frontmann Mille Petrozza und der aus wirklich allen Medien bekannte Kriminalbiologe, Autor, Moderator, Vortragsreisende, DJ beim Wave-Gotik-Treffen und Politiker Dr. Mark Benecke aufeinander. Benecke ist musikalisch im Gothic-/Electro-Bereich zu Hause und nicht nur hier und beim Thema Tattoos fanden sich Anknüpfpunkte. Beide sind im Kalten Krieg aufgewachsen, leben vegan in Großstädten in NRW, sind Comic- und Horrorfans. Das ursprünglich als Ergänzung geplante Gespräch wurde zur tragenden Säule der Titelstory. Buchstäblich auf den letzten Drücker am ersten Drucktag lief auch der lange Phoner mit Annihilator-Kopf Jeff Waters für den Co-Titel. Die kanadische Thrash-Legende sortiert ihr Leben gerade im UK neu und will es mit „Ballistic, Sadistic“ noch einmal wissen. Soundcheck-Gewinner ist die Black/Death-Vormacht The Spirit aus dem Saarland, die ebenfalls ausführlich zu Wort kommt.

Instead of just squeezing information about the upcoming “London Apocalypticon – Live At Roundhouse” out of the German Thrash veterans Kreator, we headed for a special constellation to spice up our title story. For the first time front man Mille and the criminal biologist Dr. Mark Benecke had an in depth conversation. Benecke is highly popular from all kinds of media, he is an author, presenter, tours as lecturer, works as a DJ at the world biggest Gothic and Electro festival (Wave-Gotik-Treffen) and is a politician. Both had way more in common than subculture codex and tattoos. Both grew up in times of the cold war, live as vegans in metropoles of the same region, are nerds when it comes to comics and horror movies/literature. The chat was so intense that it became the supporting pillar of the whole title story. Literally last minute the co title phoner with Jeff Waters happened. The Canadian Thrash legend starts a new life in the UK and with “Ballsitic, Sadistic” he is back with a vengeance. Also our soundcheck winners, the Black/Death supremacy The Spirit are featured in detail.
