GUT haben ihren Sound massiv weiterentwickelt. "Disciples of Smut" ist eine Mischung aus Goregrind, Bestial Black Metal, Doom, Noise und Drone.
Schneller, langsamer, härter, fieser, atmosphärischer und metallischer als alles was man bisher von GUT kannte.

Produziert wurde das Album von Bonassis im Audiodrive Studio in Sinsheim und das Drum-Recording fand im Stage One Studio (Andy Classen / HOLY MOSES) statt.
