Was jetzt nach viel Eso und Spiritualität klingt, ist viel dunkler und verrückter. PETER WOLFF ruht sich glücklicherweise nicht auf Drones und Soundscapes aus. Er beherrscht es ziemlich gut, eher drastische Soundparts mit Piano zu kombinieren. Vielleicht nicht von ungefähr war er bereits mit Neurosis-Mitglied Scott Kelly auf Tour. Diese Brachialität muss er jedoch nicht von Neurosis bergen. Seine frühere Band Downfall Of Gaia, die er 2016 in Freundschaft verlassen hat, hat er mit entsprechender Musik im Brachialsektor versorgt. Den Black Metal hat er als PETER WOLFF solo abgelegt. So macht der Abschied von Downfall… auch mehr Sinn. „Repeat“ ist auch ein Abschied von einem nahen Freund, wie Peter in der Presseinfo erzählt:

„Repeat is a really personal and emotional record for me. I started with songwriting on the dying day of a close friend and after exact one year I stopped on the point where I was. This record describes one year of coping with bereavement, the wander around grief, abyss and solace and ends with the insight that this will repeat again and again and will never end.“
